Since spring has sprung I have been looking for new seasonal beauty treatments. Some of them were staring me in the face and were right in my own kitchen. Here are the 10 do it yourself beauty treatments that are super simple but helpful.
1. Green Tea
Green tea is packed full of antioxidants and caffeine to beauty essentials. Steep a cup of tea the store in the fridge in a water bottle. Give a little spritz to reduce the visibility of pores. Plus it’s refreshing!
2. Olive Oil
What can’t olive oil do? From hair masks, sugar scrub, and cuticle oil olive oil is literally used in everything.
Under eyes baggy? Cucumber really does do more then look cute during spa treatments. Lay back and relax let the bagginess melt away. Also cucumber is great in water adds a nice amount of flavor.
Kiwi’s are in season and they are full of alpha hydroxy acids, vitamin A, and vitamin C. Smash up some kiwi’s mix with yogurt and coconut oil for a exfoliating and brightening mask.
Problems with oily skin? Smash some grapes mix with yogurt and honey. The acidity really helps!
6. Green Apples
By pureeing green apples you can massage the paste into your scalp. That can help with irritation and cleansing.
No it’s not just cute on the side of your drink. Lime can be mixed with brown sugar or olive oil for an exfoliate that mixes chemical and physical.
Mint is very good a battling the ever present pimple. Crush some mint leaves and mix with rose water to decrease inflammatory redness. As well as it’s great to flavor water either by yourself or with your favorite fruit.
9. Honeydew Melon
Honeydew is currently in season and is full of vitamin C. Slice it very thin and place on your face for 20 Minutes.
Make a mask using half an avocado, one egg yolk, a teaspoon of honey, and a tablespoon of olive oil to strengthen weak hair. Leave on for 30 minutes under a shower cap or saran wrap.
